La economía mundial frente a un nuevo shock energético

En este evento presencial, Angel Talavera, nuestro Jefe de Economía Europea analizará las perspectivas económicas para la economía global, europea y española en un momento en el que el conflicto en Medio Oriente y su impacto en los mercados energéticos ha pasado a dominar por completo la geopolítica mundial.

España continuará liderando el crecimiento entre los grandes países de la Eurozona, pero se enfrenta a un escenario incierto debido a su mayor dependencia relativa del petróleo. Aunque no esperamos una crisis energética de la magnitud vivida en 2022, la enorme incertidumbre pone de relieve el uso de escenarios alternativos, donde analizaremos las implicaciones para crecimiento, inflación y política fiscal y monetaria.

    Ángel Talavera is Chief European Economist and is responsible for developing Oxford Economics’ macro view on the region, as well as producing macroeconomic forecasts for Spain. He manages a team of 12 economists producing regional and country-specific thematic research on over 30 countries, as well as contributing to the editorial line of Oxford Economics globally. Angel’s work also involves presenting the outlook to clients around the world and he is frequently quoted in international media.

    Prior to joining Oxford Economics, Ángel spent over five years in two different stints as an economist at FocusEconomics, a Barcelona-based macroeconomic consulting firm. In between, he worked at Beazley Group, an insurance firm based in London, where he focused on country risk.
